Empowerment Program

Helping individuals move from crisis to stability with dignity.

Our Empowerment Program connects members with vital resources, including housing, public benefits, job training, healthcare, legal services, tax filing assistance, and other supports essential to their well-being.

Our staff provides personalized support to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We operate with a strengths-based approach to advocacy and case management by building on the inherent strengths of our members.

Through Housing Search Workshops, Source of Income Discrimination Trainings, and ongoing assistance, the Empowerment Program is dedicated to ensuring marginalized communities receive the resources they need for long-term stability.

All services in our Empowerment Program are free, confidential, and by appointment.

Source of Income Discrimination

In New York City, denying tenants who are looking for housing with a housing voucher is illegal—but it still happens every day. Watch to learn more about source of income discrimination and what can be done to fight it.

At Neighbors Together, we actively fight against Source of Income discrimination with trainings for our members, and with partner organizations. Interested in bringing one of our trainings to your organization? Contact our team below.
