On Feb. 17, four Neighbors Together members went to The Museum of the City of New York on the upper east side with NT staff member Cassiah Sahl. We saw exhibits about the history of Activism in NYC, art by an artist named Chris “Daze” Ellis who began as a graffiti artist and eventually transitioned to the studio to produce work inspired by NYC, photography by Jacob A. Riis of the city slums of the lower east side at the turn of the 20th century, the NYC Marathon, and a video on the history of NYC. Afterwards, we grabbed pizza and soda before heading back to Neighbors Together.
